Independent since 1980, Zimbabwe has enjoyed periods of growth and prosperity and has suffered though numerous crises. With the people reeling from political instability, severe economic hardships and other realities such as the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS, massive unemployment and broken systems, one might be inclined to view the country in terms of pain and brokenness. This, however, would be an incomplete picture.

Meet the people of Zimbabwe and you will hear moving stories of hardship but you will also find stirring examples of warmth, resilience, vision, initiative and mercy. Into this situation, TEAM missionaries have the privilege of playing a part in equipping church leadership, demonstrating the love of Christ and together with the church, striving to reconcile individuals and communities with each other, with creation and with their Creator.

With the return of the rains in November, the regional drought has ended. We want to express our thanks to those who helped with food relief this past year.  The need for relief continues through February 2017 when the crops will be harvested.
